Tinubu Condemns Attacks In Katsina, Directs Security Agencies To Go After Assailants

June 11, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, condemned the recent attacks by bandits on residents in Dutsin-Ma and Kankara Local Government Areas of Katsina State.

THEWILL had reported that suspected bandits attacked several communities in Kankara Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State, killing at least 50 people and leaving many others with severe injuries. The attacks, which occurred late Sunday night into the early hours of Monday, also saw several residents of the affected communities abducted by the armed bandits.

While describing the attacks as grisly and sinister, the President, in a press statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, assured that “more will be done to secure citizens and completely degrade terrorists and other harbingers of death and sorrow in any part of the country.”

Consequently, he directed security agencies to go after the assailants and ensure that they are brought to justice.

President Tinubu condoled with the families of the deceased, as well as the Government and people of Katsina State, and prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.
