September 02, (THEWILL) — Nigerian Afrobeats singer Fola has gifted his mother a new luxury car, fulfilling the second of two major requests she made when his music career began to take off.
The singer shared the news on X on September 1. He said he once asked his mother what she wanted when things started to improve for him.
According to Fola, she asked for her own church building and a specific car.
“When things started to align, I randomly asked my mother what she wanted and she said she wanted her own church building and this specific car,” he wrote.
“I thank God for keeping this running long enough for me to say I’ve done both things.”
Fola had earlier fulfilled the first request by buying his mother a piece of land in Ibadan with his first major music earnings.
She later used the land to build her church.
The gesture reflects the support Fola received from his mother before his breakthrough.
The singer previously worked as a Bet9ja cashier in Ibadan while pursuing his music career.
He has said his mother remained supportive during those years and regularly encouraged him to continue making music.
She also assured him that he would become a star.

He released his debut album, “Catharsis”, in September 2025 and has continued to build momentum in the Nigerian music industry.

His latest gesture has drawn praise from fans, many of whom have celebrated him for keeping his promise to his mother and acknowledging her role in his journey.
