August 28, (THEWILL) — Popular Nigerian content creator and actor Folagade Banks has released the official trailer for his debut feature film, ‘A Mama Deola Wedding Story’, ahead of its release on Kava.
Banks unveiled the trailer on Friday, August 28, giving fans a first look at the comedy-drama based on his popular Mama Deola character.
The film will stream exclusively on Kava, a digital streaming platform, from September 3, 2026.
‘A Mama Deola Wedding Story’ expands the character from Banks’ viral comedy skits into a full-length movie.
The story follows the drama and humour surrounding a wedding, with the trailer showing wedding preparations, family interactions and comic exchanges between the characters.
Banks, whose real name is Abiri Tobi Folagade, serves as the film’s producer and lead actor. His Mama Deola character has become one of the recognizable personalities in Nigeria’s digital comedy scene.
The movie was directed by actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo and features several established Nollywood actors, including Shaffy Bello, Omowunmi Dada, Rotimi Salami, Toyin Abraham, Bukky Wright, Erica Nlewedim, Akin Lewis, Toyin Adegbola and veteran actress Iya Rainbow.
