BEVERLY HILLS, August 30, (THEWILL) – The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abdullahi Mohammed, has announced the death of five Nigerian pilgrims in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed while briefing Hajj stakeholders did not disclose the identities of the late pilgrims as well as the circumstances that led to their death
He added that such information could only be disclosed after their families had been appropriately informed but revealed that the deceased pilgrims are from Kaduna, Kogi, Kwara and Yobe states.
A total of 81,200 Nigerian pilgrims, including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, are performing this year’s Hajj.
