August 19, (THEWILL) — Nigerian dancer and singer Poco Lee has reportedly been arrested in the United Kingdom over an alleged rape, according to reports circulating online.
The reported arrest has sparked reactions on social media, although details of the case remain unclear.
There has been no independent confirmation from UK law enforcement of the reported arrest, the identity of the alleged victim or whether Poco Lee has been formally charged.
Reports circulating online have attributed the initial claim to gossip blogger Cute Juls.
Amid the reports, US-based Nigerian artist Ms Jorji has come forward with her own account of an alleged sexual assault involving the entertainer in Dallas, Texas.
In a video shared online, Ms Jorji alleged that Poco Lee attempted to sexually assault her and her girlfriend at his apartment about two years ago.

According to her account, the women visited Poco Lee after a friend who knew him from their school days in Nigeria arranged the meeting. Ms Jorji said she was building her music career at the time and wanted his advice.
She alleged that after she played him one of her songs, Poco Lee made an unwanted sexual advance towards her. She said she confronted him and that he then turned his attention to her girlfriend.
Ms Jorji further alleged that Poco Lee attempted to pull her girlfriend into another room, prompting both women to fight him off before leaving the apartment.
She said they drove home after the incident and that she told her then-husband what had happened.
She explained that she did not report the alleged incident to police at the time because they had managed to stop the encounter and leave safely.

She said she decided to share her experience following the recent reports involving Poco Lee, adding that other women had also contacted her with similar allegations.
