September 02, (THEWILL) — Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has celebrated his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, on her 54th birthday with a heartfelt tribute.
Lola, who was born on September 2, 1972, marks her birthday on Wednesday. Peter shared photos of her and their family on X alongside a message celebrating their relationship.
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful Queen, my love, my forever. I’m so blessed to have you by my side. I’d choose you over and over again, in every lifetime. Love you endlessly, my Queen,” he wrote.
Peter and Lola have been together for more than two decades.
They first met at a promotional event in Enugu in the early 2000s while Lola was working in marketing and Peter was an emerging member of P-Square.
Their relationship grew over the years, and Peter proposed to Lola in August 2013 with a Range Rover SUV, flowers, and a diamond ring.
The couple held their traditional wedding on November 17, 2013, at The Ark Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos.
They have two children, Cameron and Aliona. Their son, Cameron, was born in 2008, while their daughter, Aliona, was born in January 2013, months before their wedding.

Their relationship has faced public scrutiny over the years, including criticism over their age difference and cultural backgrounds.
However, Peter has continued to publicly defend their marriage.
Lola has also been a major source of support during Peter’s early career.
In a 2013 interview, she said she saw Peter’s drive and vision even when others questioned her decision to date a musician.
More recently, Peter revealed that Lola helped him secure ₦30 million from her father during a period of financial pressure linked to the P-Square family crisis.
According to Peter, Lola convinced her father to provide the money when he urgently needed it.
