No Man Was Given The Right To Subdue Another By God – Leader Obu

December 31, (THEWILL) – The Leader of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, said no one was given the right to subdue another by God.

Leader Obu made this known in his ‘Holy Father’s Advice and Blessings Message’ after this year’s fourth edition of the Leader Obu annual public lecture.

This year’s edition was themed: ‘Unification Of The Human Race: Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, The Uncharted Path To Lasting Peace.’

In his message, he said, “In the beginning, the father of creation created everyman irrespective of race in his own image and endowed everyman with the ability to subdue the earth and rule over it.

“No Man was given the right by God to subdue the other but the intent of God on man was to live in brotherhood and love others.

“The human family came from one source no matter the colour,” he said.

Leader Obu, whose message was delivered by the BCS spokesman, Patriarch Christ Shepherd Dr. Amah Williams, also faulted the present misunderstanding about world Peace by world leaders and tasked the human race to put away divisive tendencies and live together in one love and brotherhood.

“Over the years, peace building and the world agenda have not moved beyond talk to real action.

“Superior nations understand global Peace to mean the monopoly of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.

“Global leaders must move from taking to deliberately taking actions; any nation or individual that seeks to be powerful must practice true love and follow Leader Obu’s leadership style.

“Put aside all divisive tendencies, unite together in one love and brotherhood of man,” he said.

He added that the idea behind the annual public lecture series is to bring the public together for a deep and honest conversation on what the human race can do as a people.

Five lecturers made various presentations in the course of the lecture including Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Federal University Lokoja, who contended that the misuse and abuse of language were major contributory factors to the increase of conflict in the world.

He further posited that “global peace cannot be secured by using the same means and weapons as the offender” and extolled the BCS Leader for making efforts to dissuade the world from this ideology and preaching a non-violent approach to achieving peace.

On his part, Dr. Francis Falako, from the University of Lagos, contended that peace has been elusive because mankind’s ambition has always been self-centred.
