BEVERLY HILLS, April 20, (THEWILL) – In a bid to attain continued education for the benefit of professional and adequate football administration in today’s world, Mohammed Sanusi, the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and Charity Kadiri, the Director of Finance and Administration, went on a FIFA Executive Programme last year.
According to the media release from the Federation, the two Football administrators have both bagged the FIFA Certificate of Attendance after successfully completing the Executive Programme.
The world football governing body organised the programme at the renowned International Centre for Sports Studies and in collaboration with the South African-based Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth. As a result of the enduring coronavirus pandemic, the closing ceremony of the programme was held via video conference.
Speaking about his experience, Sanusi remarked: “It was a very interesting programme and I am very happy to have been part of it. The modules were rich in content and quite illuminating and I found the entire programme very useful and meaningful to the work that we continue to do.”
For Kadiri, the occasion of the successful completion of the Executive Programme was a beautiful opportunity to express his appreciation to FIFA and the organisers of the programme, which he admitted helped to advance and enrich his knowledge of the nitty-gritty of football administration in the modern age.
The ultimate beneficiary will be Nigeria as the pair of football administrators are well-placed within the structure of the NFF, as General Secretary and as Director of Finance and Administration to make their advanced knowledge count in how football is run in the country and seek new ways, means and strategies to improve upon and advance the country’s football fortunes.
