The announcement marks Burna Boy’s return to the stadium. In April 2025, he became the first African artiste to headline a show at Stade de France.

Reacting to the announcement, Burna Boy said returning to the venue for the NFL game was significant to him.

“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything”, he said.

He added that the event would allow him to represent African music on a major international stage.

The Paris game will be the first regular-season NFL game played in France. It is also part of the league’s biggest international season to date, with nine regular-season games scheduled outside the United States and halftime shows planned across its seven international host countries this season.
