August 20, (THEWILL) — Nigerian singer Brymo has made fresh allegations against Burna Boy, Davido and 2Baba, claiming they may have known about an incident he says left him under pressure to join a cult.

The singer made the allegation during a recent appearance on the Lahor Talk Podcast, where he spoke about the incident and his issues with the three artistes.

According to Brymo, the incident took place in 2019 around Chevron in Lagos. He said he was invited to the location under the impression that he was going there to be hosted.

However, he alleged that things took a different turn after he arrived. Brymo claimed he was attacked before being pressured to join a cult.

He also said the names of Burna Boy, Davido and 2Baba were mentioned during the encounter as part of the fraternity’s network.

“I got attacked when I was lured into being hosted, only to be told that I need to join a cult. And they mentioned their names,” Brymo said.

Brymo said he has carried the matter for years and questioned why the three artistes have not publicly denied any knowledge of what happened.

He stressed that he is not looking for an apology from any of them. Rather, he wants them to clearly state that they had nothing to do with the alleged incident.

“I’m not asking for an apology. Just be a man and say, ‘Brymo, I have nothing to do with it,’” he said.

The singer also questioned their continued silence, saying he would interpret it differently if they refused to address the allegation.

“Why are they still quiet about it after all these years if you’re not involved?” he asked.

Brymo went on to say that he would continue to raise the issue publicly until the artists respond.

“I will keep saying it till it destroys your legacy completely. You will speak up. I’m not asking for any apology,” he said.

Brymo’s previous disputes with Burna Boy, 2Baba

Brymo’s latest comments come against the backdrop of previous public clashes with Burna Boy and 2Baba.

His disagreement with Burna Boy has played out largely through comments about their music and careers.

Burna Boy previously mocked Brymo in a song with the line, “Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo.” Brymo later hit back at the singer and said he would seek revenge over the remark.

The tension resurfaced in 2026 after Brymo criticized Burna Boy’s music and Grammy achievement.

His latest comments now suggest that his grievances with the singer go beyond their recent exchange over music.

Brymo’s history with 2Baba is also older. In 2021, he accused the music legend of falsely accusing him of having an affair with Annie Idibia and alleged that people were sent to physically attack him.

2Baba rejected the allegations and threatened to take legal action against Brymo, with reports at the time stating that he was seeking ₦1 billion in damages.

While those earlier disputes involved separate allegations and disagreements, Brymo has now brought Burna Boy and 2Baba into the conversation again alongside Davido over what he describes as the 2019 Chevron incident.

The latest claims remain allegations, and there has been no confirmed public response from Burna Boy, Davido or 2Baba directly addressing Brymo’s account.
