August 17, (THEWILL) — Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Neche has voluntarily left the reality show, bringing her time in the “Show Ya Sef” house to an unexpected end.
Neche announced her decision on Sunday night, shortly after the live eviction show that saw Kamsy leave the competition.
She gathered the housemates in the lounge and told them she had decided to leave the show for personal reasons. Her announcement came as a surprise to the other housemates.
In an emotional moment, Neche removed her microphone and name tag before walking into the Diary Room to complete her exit. She did not return to the main house afterwards.
The lawyer and entrepreneur had been one of the standout housemates in recent days. She served as the Week Three Head of House and played an active role in the week’s activities.
Neche also led the house to a wager victory and won the weekly Arena game, making her exit more unexpected given her strong performance during the week.
Her departure also means she has given up the Head of House position. Following her exit, Sheba stepped in as the new Head of House.
During the live show, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu questioned Goddessa about her views on Neche.
His questions drew attention to differences between Goddessa’s comments about Neche and earlier remarks she had made to Sheba, with some fans saying the exchange exposed growing friction in the house.
