April 16, (THEWILL) — Victoria Beckham has spoken about her strained relationship with her eldest son, Brooklyn, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal published on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

While she didn’t mention Brooklyn by name, the 51-year-old fashion designer and former Spice Girl discussed the rift that started after Brooklyn’s social media post earlier this year.

Victoria said she and her husband, David, have always tried to be the best parents and “protect and love” their children, despite their life in the public eye.

The interview comes one day before Victoria’s 52nd birthday, which she is reportedly “dreading” because of the lack of contact with Brooklyn.

In January, Brooklyn, 27, accused his parents of controlling him and said he has no plans to reconcile. He also claimed he and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were mistreated by the Beckham family, including issues during his wedding.

Victoria didn’t address the specific accusations but repeated that she and David have always tried to protect their children.

Brooklyn has continued to express his frustration, including a letter to the public in January. He has also said he and Nicola want privacy and peace away from the family’s public pressure.

While Brooklyn’s issues are out in the open, the tension between the Beckhams remains unresolved
