September 07, (THEWILL) — American singer Ciara and her husband, former American football player, Russell Wilson, are expecting their fifth child.
The couple shared the news on Sunday, September 6, in a joint Instagram post featuring photos and videos of Ciara showing her growing baby bump.
“One more person to Love”, they captioned the post.
In one of the photos, the couple posed outdoors beside a clothesline displaying shirts with the names of their four older children. A small blank onesie was placed alongside them to represent the newest addition to the family.
Ciara and Wilson also posed together while holding up five fingers, marking the arrival of their fifth child.
The pregnancy will make the baby Ciara’s fifth child and her fourth with Wilson. The couple already have three children together: daughters Sienna Princess and Amora Princess, and son Win Harrison.
Ciara also shares her eldest son, Future Zahir, with rapper Future.
Ciara and Wilson got married in 2016 and have since built a family while balancing their careers and raising their children.
Their youngest child, Amora, was born in December 2023. Ciara has continued her music career since then, including taking her children with her while on tour.
Speaking to PEOPLE in 2024, the singer said travelling with her children during her tour was important to her.
“My kids travelled with me, and I couldn’t have done it any other way”, she said.
Ciara also spoke about the special moments she shared with her children between performances, describing the experience as one of the most meaningful parts of her tour.
The singer had previously hinted that her family could grow again. After Amora’s birth, she recalled Wilson asking about having “Cinco”, a playful reference to a fifth child, and jokingly told him to slow down.
Wilson also spoke about the possibility of having another child during an interview in July, when he joked about trying to convince Ciara to expand their family roster.
The announcement comes as Wilson begins a new chapter after retiring from professional football in June following a 14-season career.
Ciara and Wilson have not yet revealed the sex of their baby or when they expect to welcome the newest member of their family.
