UK Prime Minister Weds Privately

BEVERLY HILLS, May 30, (THEWILL) – Prime minister of the UK,  Boris Johnson, has married his longtime  lover, Carrie Symonds, in a private ceremony on Saturday.

The wedding, which took place at the Westminster Cathedral, was stated to have been secretly planned.

The wedding was confirmed to Skynews by a Downing Street spokesperson on Sunday.

“The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds were married yesterday afternoon in a small ceremony at Westminster Cathedral,” the spokesperson said. “The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer.”

According to a news report, senior aides of the Prime Minister had limited knowledge about the wedding beforehand.

The Daily Mail reports that about 30 guests were invited to the ceremony, which is the maximum number of attendees required under COVID restrictions in England.

THEWILL writes that the couple got engaged on the island of Mustique in late 2019 and have a one-year-old son, Wilfred.

This marriage will be Johnson’s third as the first was in 1987 when he married Allegra Mostyn-Owen at age 23.

He also married Marina Wheeler in 1993 but they got divorced in 2018. Their union produced four children: Lara Lettice, Cassia Peaches, Milo Arthur, and Theodore Apollo.
