The couple exchanged vows in Naxxar, Malta, several months after their engagement in January and a traditional wedding in Nigeria in June.

L.A.X announced the union on Instagram, describing Malta as “the most beautiful city” and confirming that they had legally tied the knot.

The wedding comes as the ‘Caro’ hitmaker continues to expand his career in music and business, including a recent appointment as executive director of SIFAX Logistics.
September 17, (THEWILL) – Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has officially married his partner, Ella, in Malta.
The couple held their white wedding in Naxxar, Malta, where they exchanged vows at an intimate ceremony attended by family and friends.
Videos from the event have since surfaced online, showing the couple in their wedding outfits and celebrating with guests.
L.A.X confirmed the marriage on his Instagram page on Wednesday, September 16, sharing moments from the ceremony.
“Legally hitched to the love of my life, in the most beautiful city. Malta, you have our hearts,” he wrote.
The wedding follows the couple’s engagement on January 16, 2026. L.A.X proposed to Ella during an outdoor setup decorated with flowers and later shared a video of the moment on Instagram.
The couple also held their traditional wedding ceremony in Nigeria in June before travelling to Malta for the white wedding.
Footage from the latest ceremony shows them exchanging vows and later making a celebratory entrance into their reception as guests cheered them on.

Born Damilola Afolabi, L.A.X started his music career as a rapper during his secondary school days with a group called Flyboiz before pursuing a solo career.
He rose to prominence in 2013 with ‘Caro’, his hit collaboration with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment. The song was nominated for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
He later worked with Wizkid on ‘Ginger’ before founding his own record label, Rasaki Music.
L.A.X has remained active in music in recent years. His fourth studio album, ‘Nobody Like Zaza’, was released in April 2025, while he has continued putting out new material in 2026, including ‘Alafia (Peace)’, a collaboration with Dapper and Balloranking released on August 21.
Beyond music, L.A.X was appointed executive director of SIFAX Logistics, a subsidiary of SIFAX Group, in April 2026.
