November 06, (THEWILL) – Aaron Carter has been found dead in his bathtub, at his home. He was aged 34.
According to TMZ, the rapper was found in his bathtub, at his Lancaster, California home on Saturday.
Carter, who was the younger brother to Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys, the five-member American vocal group, was discovered by Los Angeles County police around 18:00 GMT, after receiving a drowning report.
Representatives of his team were quoted as confirming the rapper’s death.
“Right now it’s a really bad time. We’re trying to figure out what happened and what the cause of it was.
“We’re just as upset as everyone and hope that fans can give thoughts and prayers to his family.”
Aaron started out in music, opening for the Backstreet Boys in concerts.
He shot to fame in the late 1990s as a pop singer, releasing four studio albums.
The singer started with his self-titled debut album released in 1997 when he was aged nine.
In November 2021, Carter had a son with his then-fiancée, Melanie Martin.
In September 2022, he checked into rehabilitation for drug addiction after losing child custody.
