July 11, (THEWILL) – The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig. Gen YD Ahmed, has assured that the security and welfare of corps members remain the top priority of the present administration.

Brig. Gen YD Ahmed, who paid a familiarisation visit on Thursday, to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Boro Town, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, commended the corps members for the high level of discipline in the camp and urged them to adhere to the rules and regulations of the scheme strictly.

He charged them to take responsibility for their personal security, by being vigilant at all times and reading the security tips booklet given to them.

He cautioned corps members to shun the misuse of social media and avoid posting NYSC activities on social media.

Speaking on the importance of the NYSC SAED program, the DG encouraged them to key into SAED, aimed at making them self-reliant and future employers of labour.
