November 10, (THEWILL) – Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been crowned the English Premier League’s Player of the Month for October, following a series of scintillating displays.
The Egyptian was instrumental as Liverpool picked up seven points from a possible nine, scoring four goals in three matches. He netted twice during the 2-2 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion before bagging a late brace to seal a 2-0 win over rivals Everton. Salah then rounded off the month by scoring in the 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.
This latest accolade marks the fifth time Salah has won the award, cementing his status as one of the league’s star performers. Despite speculation over a potential move to Saudi Arabia, the 30-year-old has remained focused, contributing 10 goals and 4 assists in 16 games across all competitions so far.
With eight EPL goals, Salah sits second in the scoring charts alongside Tottenham’s Son Heung-min, just three behind Manchester City phenomenon, Erling Haaland. Liverpool currently occupy third spot in the table but could end the weekend on top if results go their way.
They host Brentford on Sunday, in their final match before the international break, looking for a win to maintain pressure on early pace-setters Tottenham Hotspur and City. Boss Jurgen Klopp will be hoping Salah can continue his red-hot form and fire the Reds to glory this season.
