The milestone adds to Rihanna’s long list of streaming records. Her music continues to attract millions of listeners even though she has not released a new studio album in more than a decade.

Rihanna’s most recent studio album, “Anti,” was released on January 28, 2016, and remains her latest full-length project. Since then, she has focused much of her attention on her business ventures, including Fenty, as well as motherhood and her family.

The singer has still released selected songs during the break, including “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and “Friend of Mine” from “The Smurfs” soundtrack. However, she has yet to release another studio album.

The achievement also comes as fans continue to wait for Rihanna’s ninth studio album, popularly known as “R9.”

There has been fresh hope that the project may be getting closer after her partner, A$AP Rocky, said Rihanna is back in the studio working on new music. He described her as “cooking,” although no release date has been announced.
