November 18, (THEWILL) – Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes is due to be charged with attempted murder and serious assault by the Dutch Public Prosecution Service.
Promes, who was playing for Ajax at the time of the happenings, was arrested by police in December of last year in connection with an alleged stabbing that occurred earlier in the year.
Promes was accused of stabbing a relative following a dispute with the Netherlands international, who has been capped 50 times. Although the charges against him cost him his career in his home nation, the footballer has consistently rejected them.
