The announcement comes after years of uncertainty surrounding the rap group.

Migos went on a break in May 2022, less than a year after releasing their final studio album, “Culture III”.

Tensions within the group became more obvious in the following months.

In June 2022, Migos pulled out of joint performances, while Quavo and Takeoff began performing Migos songs without Offset.

By October 2022, Quavo and Takeoff confirmed that they were moving forward as a duo, citing internal family issues and a lack of loyalty. They released their joint album, “Only Built for Infinity Links”, a few weeks later.

However, Migos’ future changed permanently after Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston, Texas, in November 2022. He was 28.

Quavo and Offset eventually put their differences aside following Takeoff’s death. They reunited at the 2023 BET Awards, where they performed “Hotel Lobby” and “Bad and Boujee” in tribute to the late rapper.

The two artists have since focused mainly on their solo careers. Offset released “SET IT OFF” in 2023, while Quavo released “Rocket Power”, an album dedicated to Takeoff, that same year.

Rumours of another Migos reunion began to grow earlier this year after Quavo and Offset shared cryptic posts hinting at new music. The speculation increased in May when the two rappers were spotted together in the studio.

Quavo’s latest announcement now confirms that the pair has plans to officially bring Migos back for one final project.

The album is expected to arrive in 2027 and could include unreleased recordings from Takeoff. His involvement would allow the late rapper to remain part of the group’s final chapter.

The reunion will also extend beyond music, with Quavo confirming plans for a Migos tour. No dates or venues have been announced yet.

Before the group’s return, Quavo is set to release his next solo album, “QRÖME LIFE”, on October 2. The project is being produced by Pharrell Williams.

The final Migos album will mark the group’s first new project since “Culture III” and give Quavo and Offset an opportunity to close the group’s story while honouring Takeoff’s legacy.
