September 07, (THEWILL) — Nigerian TikTok star and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has shared an emotional testimony at a UK church about how rapper Olamide helped change his career.
Speaking at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s church in London, Peller recalled how Olamide was the first major celebrity to post him and his partner, Jarvis, on Instagram.
Peller said the post gave him his first 100,000 views on a livestream and changed how people responded to him online. He also recalled that people who had previously blocked him began unblocking him after Olamide shared his content.
He described the moment as a major turning point in his life, saying, “That moment was what changed my life till today.”
Olamide’s support later extended beyond the Instagram post. In June 2024, the rapper joined Peller on TikTok Live in a highly watched session that attracted about 60,000 viewers.
The appearance became a major moment in Peller’s rise as a streamer and introduced his platform to a much larger audience.
During the livestream, Olamide also gifted Peller ₦1 million. He initially gave him ₦500,000 before adding another ₦500,000.
The rapper’s appearance helped draw more attention to Peller’s livestreams, which later featured several other major Nigerian artistes.
Davido, Tiwa Savage and Zinoleesky are among the artistes who have since appeared on Peller’s platform, further strengthening his position in Nigeria’s growing livestreaming scene.
Peller, who began gaining attention through his energetic and humorous online content, has since become one of Nigeria’s prominent young streamers. His platform has continued to attract major entertainers and large audiences.
His latest comments are another public acknowledgement of Olamide’s role in his journey and the impact of early support from established figures in the entertainment industry.
