PDP Chieftain Abidikugu Felicitates Muslims On Hijrah 1445 AH New Calendar Year

July 19, (THEWILL) – As Nigerians join other Muslim Ummah across the globe in marking the commencement of the Islamic New Year, 1445 AH, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, has felicitated with Muslim Ummah on Wednesday, urging them to continue praying for the peaceful coexistence of the country.

Abidikugu, in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists, said it was appropriate to use the occasion to thank the Almighty Allah for the privilege He mercifully granted us to witness the new year.

Abidikugu, a Nigerian UK-based Psychiatric Consultant, who was also a House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency under the platform of the PDP, noted that it was a rare privilege for all the living beings to witness the New Hijrah calendar year.

According to him, “This is a privilege for us as individuals and as a community of the Faithful and deserves our gratitude to Allah.

“As we begin the New Year, I enjoin all of us not to relent in living in accordance with the injunctions of our Faith and in our prayers for peace in our country and the world over.

“We should continue to fervently seek the intervention of Allah in our affairs as we seek an end to the challenges facing our country in this present situation.

“We urge our leaders to continue to work to make our country better for all its people and to leave an enduring legacy for future generations.

“We appeal to them to always strive to meet the expectations of the masses, particularly in this trying time of increment in the pump price of premium motor spirit popularly known as petrol, just as I wish fellow Muslims a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year.”
