THEWILL recalls that in September, Amusan won the Continental Tour Gold in the Stadion Slaski in Chorzow, Poland, putting her Tokyo Olympics setback behind her. She won the 100m hurdles race in 12.64 seconds, beating Olympic bronze medallist Megan Tapper’s run of 12.75.

The 24-year-old hurdler, who is also a two-time African Games champion, added: “It gives me so much joy that our efforts are not being overlooked, and that each person in this room is the winner. I want to say thank you all, most importantly (FIN Women).
