BEVERLY HILLS, November 21, (THEWILL) – The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, authorities have told prospective corps members that they can now print their call-up letters online, adding that the camp for Stream 1, 2016 Batch ‘B’ commences on Thursday.
This is a radical departure from the hitherto practice whereby intending corps members must have return to their respective schools, not minding wherever they may be, to physically pick up the letters.
But in a message posted on Twitter in the early hours of Monday, the scheme wrote that: “Call-up letters can now be printed for prospective corps members slated for Stream 1”, even as it released the timeline for the camp registration.
The series of tweets read, “They are to log-in to their respective dashboards with their email password.
“If the ‘Print call-up Letter’ link is not on the dashboard, it means prospective corps members is slated for Stream 2 scheduled for January 2017. No cause for alarm please
“Registration in the camp for Stream 1, 2016 Batch ‘B’ commences on Thursday 24th November & closes by 12 midnight on the 25th November 2016.”
Prospective corps members were initially worried that the orientation course would not take place after the presidency wrote the senate seeking funds for mobilisation of corps members.
In October, the management of NYSC wrote various universities and corps-mobilising tertiary institutions across the country, advising them to reduce the number of students to be sent for mobilisation.
