August 22, (THEWILL) — American rapper Montero Lamar Hill, popularly known as Lil Nas X, was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday after an early-morning incident with police officers.
The Los Angeles Police Department said officers were dispatched to Ventura Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. following reports of a man walking in public in his underwear.
On arrival, police identified the individual as the Grammy-winning rapper. According to LAPD spokesperson Charles Miller, Lil Nas X allegedly charged at officers, prompting his arrest on suspicion of battery.
He was later taken to a hospital for treatment linked to a possible overdose.
Unverified footage circulating online shows the 25-year-old dancing in his underwear and cowboy boots in the street, gesturing to passersby to join a party.
