June 17, (THEWILL) – Marc Roca, formerly of Bayern Munich, has joined Leeds United.
The 25-year-old agreed to a four-year contract at Elland Road for around £12 million plus add-ons. He finished his physical on Friday morning, just in time for the club’s announcement later that day.
The Whites were linked with the Spanish midfielder, and they have since beaten a number of Premier League and Bundesliga clubs to his signature.
Roca becomes Jesse Marsch’s third summer addition, following the signings of USMNT standout, Brenden Aaronson and Danish right-back Rasmus Kristensen.
On July 1, the Spaniard will officially join Leeds for the 2022/2023 season, bringing his two seasons at Bayern to an end. It was not a very fruitful move as, after joining the Bavarian side from La Liga side Espanyol, he only made 24 appearances in all competitions.
