SAN FRANCISCO, September 20, (THEWILL) – His Royal Highness, Alhaji Shehu Idris is dead. He was 84. Until his final exit on Sunday afternoon, he was the Emir of Zazzau and Chairman, Kaduna State Council of Traditional Rulers.
A statement by Wazirin Zazzau, Alhaji Ibrahim Aminu said, he died on Sunday afternoon in Kaduna on his way to London Hospital.
Alhaji Shehu Idris, the 18th Fulani Emir of Zazzau who was appointed on 15th February, 1975, spent 45 years on the throne.
He left behind four wives, dozens of children and grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren.
