August 10, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has unveiled the star-studded cast of her latest movie, “The Four: No One Fights Alone.”
Produced under the Funke Akindele Network (FAAN), the movie is scheduled to hit cinemas globally on December 11, 2026, with FilmOne handling its theatrical distribution.
Akindele leads the cast alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chioma Akpotha, Bisola Aiyeola, Waje, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Wunmi Toriola, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, and Antar Laniyan.
The film also features Shoday, Samuel Banks, and former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemates Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.
“The Four” is an emotional drama centred on friendship, motherhood, resilience, and the strength of women.
The story follows Esosa and three loyal women who come together to fight for the future of a young man they love. Their journey tests their courage, faith, and friendship.

The film also showcases Nigerian culture through music, fashion, language, and tradition, while exploring themes of hope, sacrifice, and unity.
Akindele, who serves as the film’s writer, director, and producer, said the movie explores relationships and experiences that audiences can relate to.

She said the story is designed to entertain while reflecting the relationships and experiences that shape people’s lives.
“The Four” is the latest major cinema project from Akindele, who has established herself as one of Nollywood’s strongest box-office filmmakers.
Her most recent film, “Behind The Scenes” (2025), ended its cinema run with about ₦2.7 billion, making it the highest-grossing Nollywood film at the time.

Akindele also recorded major box-office successes with “Everybody Loves Jenifa” (2024), which grossed about ₦1.88 billion, “A Tribe Called Judah” (2023), which made about ₦1.4 billion, and “Battle on Buka Street” (2022), which earned more than ₦670 million.
Her 2020 film “Omo Ghetto: The Saga” also crossed ₦636 million at the box office, further establishing her as one of Nigeria’s leading commercial filmmakers.
With “The Four”, Akindele is set to return to cinemas on December 11, 2026, with another ensemble production that combines family, friendship, resilience, and Nigerian culture.
