BEVERLY HILLS, July 01, (THEWILL) – A Federal High Court presided over by Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia has discharged and acquitted Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, of money laundering, saying the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia delivered her judgment on Wednesday morning in Lagos.
It is likely that the EFCC will appeal the judgment at the Court of Appeal though it is yet to make a formal pronouncement.
