August 12, (THEWILL) — Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido, has sparked reactions online after a viral video showed him rebuking his logistics manager, Israel DMW, during a livestream in London.
The exchange centred on seating arrangements as Davido, who was on the tour bus, directed Israel to leave the bus and go to his private car.
Davido told Israel to go to his car, but Israel suggested that he could remain on the bus because there was enough space.
“Israel, go inside my car”, Davido said.
“Oga, there’s space here, I can stay here”, Israel replied.
Davido then raised his voice and insisted that Israel follow his instruction.
“No space. I said go inside my car! When I tell you to do something, you do it, don’t ever argue with me”, he stated.
The clip has circulated widely on social media, sparking debate over Davido and Israel’s relationship and dividing users over whether the singer was asserting workplace authority or handled the situation poorly.
Despite their occasional viral arguments, Davido and Israel share a very close, long-term friendship, with Israel having remained a loyal member of the singer’s team for years.

Social Media Reactions
Some defended Davido, arguing that Israel works for him and is expected to follow his instructions.
@MeekB0ssLife wrote: “But seriously speaking, Davido is his boss and employer. Is Israel not supposed to answer to him before or what? Why una dey always wan attack am for him work him dey do. This is the same thing as a top staff like a DPO instructing his police officers regardless of their age.”
Another user, @AOchukome58962, also defended the singer, writing: “All of ona dey talk nonsense, Davido said nothing wrong there abeg. Make God give me this kind source of wealth, boy boy or no boy boy, if this Israel catch you for road like this you go still loyal based on what he’s worth compared to many of you saying shit here. Make ona rest abeg.”
Others, however, felt Davido’s response was unnecessarily harsh.
