BEVERLY HILLS, April 19, (THEWILL) – A few weeks ago, news of foremost music act, Davido and his long-time girlfriend, Chioma Avril Rowland hit the airwaves. The couple called it quits because of the singers’ constant infidelity especially after news of him impregnating another lady surfaced. The lady in question, a London based makeup artist, Larrissa Lorenco has since put to bed and recently celebrated the baby boy’s first birthday. The boy, Dawson, is Davido’s fourth child. This is also coupled with the fact that the singer began seeing Instagram model, Mya Yafai and was recently seen publicly kissing her. Unable to bear the blatant disrespect, Chioma moved out of the singer’s Banana Island home to an undisclosed apartment where she is starting life all over again. She also deleted all of Davido’s pictures on her social media space and unfollowed the music star.
The erstwhile couple’s issues have since generated heated argument between their respective fans and it recently became a topic of discussion on Television Continental’s Lifestyle programme, ‘Your View’. One of the co-hosts of the show, Beecee Ugoh hit hard on Chioma, calling her senseless and even went as far as praying to God not to give her a child that would be as “senseless as Chioma who would leave school for a man”. This obviously didn’t go down well with both viewers and fans of Chioma, who came to her defence and sent torrents of abusive words to Ugoh for being tactless and lacking diplomacy especially on a live television programme. They tongue lashed her for thinking she was better than Chioma because she was married. She was advised to bridle her ‘loose’ tongue because it is not all two cents that have value.
Reacting to the backlash on her co-host, Morayo Afolabi Brown said, even though viewers were right to disagree because their programme is about expressing diverse views, viewers should desist from insulting Beecee. She was of the opinion that Beecee did not insult Chioma as she only wants people to take charge of their ward to keep to the right path while admonishing them to teach their children some common sense. Speaking further, she stated that certain malady shouldn’t be encouraged in the society such as a child dropping out of school to follow a man, as according to her, it was unheard of when she was growing up. But that, if any child makes such mistake, the child should still be supported but the mistake should not be made a norm.
