September 03, (THEWILL) — Davido’s latest album, ‘Oriadé’, has reportedly lost more than 1.34 million streams on Spotify following the platform’s latest adjustment of streaming figures.
The reported deduction totals 1,340,182 streams and affected several songs from the album, including ‘I Know Who I Be,’ ‘Gimme Dat Ting’ and ‘Tell Everybody.’ The figures have been shared by prominent music data-tracking pages like Charts Africa and fans online.
Spotify regularly removes streams it identifies as artificial.
The platform says artificial streams do not reflect genuine listening activity and can include plays generated through bots or other automated methods.
Spotify also adjusts public streaming figures when it confirms such activity.
However, Spotify has not publicly linked the reported ‘Oriadé’ adjustment to Davido or his team.
There is also no indication that the singer has been accused by Spotify of manipulating streams.
The adjustment has drawn attention because Davido’s previous album, ‘5ive’, faced similar reports of stream deductions in 2025.
At the time, fans discussed alleged reductions involving songs such as ‘Funds’ and ‘Awuke’. However, reports of a much larger 18 million-stream deduction were not independently confirmed.

The 13-track project features artists including Black Sherif, Mayorkun, FOLA, Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura and Llona.
Despite the reported stream reduction, ‘Oriadé’ has still recorded strong numbers since its release.
The album earned more than 79 million pure streams on Spotify in its first month and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
On Spotify’s Nigeria daily chart for August 31, ‘B4 B4’ ranked No. 1 with more than 308,000 streams, according to Kworb.
The song has also spent 32 days at No. 1 on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs chart, making it the 10th-longest-running No. 1 song on the chart, tied with another record.
The latest adjustment has also renewed conversations about streaming numbers and the challenges of identifying genuine listener activity in the digital music industry.
For now, Davido’s team has not publicly commented on the reported reduction, leaving the exact reason for the specific ‘Oriadé’ figures unclear.
