September 06, (THEWILL) — Gerard Adebija has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” house.
He was evicted during the live show on Sunday, September 6, 2026, after six weeks in the reality show.
Gerard is the eighth housemate to leave the house this season. His exit comes after Sultex and Goddessa, who were the latest housemates to leave the show in the previous eviction. Neche had voluntarily left the house nearly two weeks earlier.
His eviction followed a dramatic Week Six, which saw 15 housemates placed up for possible eviction. Head of House Abi and Most Influential Player of the Week Sheba were protected from the eviction process.
Abi secured the Head of House position for the second time after winning the Week Six challenge.
The week also saw the housemates win their weekly wager. They secured the victory with a fashion show that showcased trends from different decades.
For Gerard, however, his quiet approach to the game became one of the biggest talking points of his time in the house.
Before announcing his eviction, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu questioned Gerard about his approach to the competition. Ebuka pointed out that Gerard had become increasingly quiet and neutral, noting that by the sixth week, his presence in the house had become less noticeable.
Responding to Ebuka, Gerard explained that he deliberately stayed away from other housemates’ arguments.
He said he did not want to take part in people’s conflicts, choosing instead to remain on the sidelines rather than get involved in disputes within the house.

While this approach may have helped him avoid some of the drama in the house, it also meant that Gerard had less visibility as the competition became more intense.
His eviction comes amid several changes to the game in recent weeks. Aikou and Flora, who had been operating as Gambits, were released from their special roles last week. The move returned them to the main competition and made them eligible to compete for the grand prize.
With Gerard now out, the remaining 16 housemates face a tougher battle for the ₦160 million grand prize as the season progresses.
Martins, Mercedes, Kamsy, Cassi, Neche, Sultex, Goddessa and Gerard have now left the “Show Ya Sef” house, with the pressure expected to rise as the contestants move closer to the final stages.
