August 31, (THEWILL) — Big Brother Naija Season 11 has introduced a new twist that could change the game for Gambits Aikou and Flora.
Called “Operation Release the Gambit”, the twist gives viewers the chance to decide whether either or both housemates should return to the main competition and become eligible for the ₦160 million grand prize.
Aikou and Flora were earlier voted into the Gambit positions by viewers. The role guaranteed them a place in the house until the grand finale, but meant they could not compete for the grand prize.
The pair have remained in the house as Big Brother’s undercover agents, carrying out special tasks unknown to the other housemates while operating under the rules of the Gambit role.
During Sunday’s live eviction show, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced that viewers would now decide whether to release them from the arrangement.
The voting options are to release Aikou, release Flora, or release both housemates.
If released, either housemate will regain eligibility for the ₦160 million prize and compete fully with the other housemates.
However, they will also give up the guaranteed place they had secured as Gambits and become open to nominations and eviction.
The twist therefore gives Aikou and Flora a choice between keeping the safety of their original Gambit deal or taking a risk for a chance to win the grand prize.
The decision could also reshape the competition, especially if both housemates are released and become full contenders for the title and prize.
The BBNaija Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” house now has 17 housemates, down from the original 24 who entered the show on July 26, 2026.
So far, Martins, Mercedes, Kamsy and Cassi have been evicted, while Neche voluntarily exited the show. Sultex and Goddessa were the latest housemates to leave following Sunday’s live eviction show.
