November 07, (THEWILL) – Results of the Anambra State governorship election are already coming in from the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as received from the various Local Government Areas (LGAs).
However, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Professor Charles Soludo, has garnered more votes from the results of eleven local government areas declared so far by INEC.
Soludo, 61, has been locked in a close contest with Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
THEWILL reports that the former CBN governor leads other candidates, emerging as winner in all the LGAs declared except in Nnewi North, lost to the YPP.
From the election LGAs, Soludo’s Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 66, 766; PDP , 29,811and APC, 23587
However, Anambra State is made up of 21 Local Government Areas and INEC officials are still collating for the remaining 11 LGAs.
