September 22, (THEWILL) – President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, has felicitated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, commending her commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians.
Akpabio, in a birthday message personally signed by him and made available to THEWILL on Monday, described the First Lady as a “remarkable woman” whose life, according to him, reflects faith, service, sacrifice and strength.
He said Oluremi Tinubu had demonstrated through her various public roles, from the classroom to the Senate and now as First Lady, that leadership should be measured by its impact on people’s lives.
The Senate President particularly acknowledged her advocacy for women and children, as well as the interventions of the Renewed Hope Initiative, saying they had continued to advance the hope of a better Nigeria.
“Through your compassion for the vulnerable, advocacy for women and children, and the interventions of the Renewed Hope Initiative, you continue to advance the hope of a better Nigeria”, he said.

Akpabio also described the First Lady as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, noting that her strength and support had contributed to the family and public life of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said her life of service had inspired many Nigerians, while wishing her abundant health, enduring happiness, divine favour and many more years of purposeful service.
