August 18, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday evening, held a closed-door meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Akpabio arrived at the forecourt of the President’s office at exactly 6:12 pm in his official S-Class Mercedes sedan, according to THEWILL’s observation.
The agenda of the meeting was not immediately disclosed.
At the time of Akpabio’s arrival, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, was reportedly meeting with the President.
The meeting between Tinubu and Akpabio came just hours before the official commencement of campaigns for the 2027 general elections on Wednesday, August 19, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
