You Were Friends Before Anything, Davido’s Cousin Tells Chioma

BEVERLY HILLS, May 01, (THEWILL) – Clarks Adeleke, Davido’s cousin, has spoken of the singer’s relationship with his estranged fiancée, Chioma, Avril Rowland, at her birthday dinner night.

Although Davido and Chioma have said nothing about the speculations on their engagement, photos and videos of the couple associating with respective opposite sexes had earlier emerged online in a way that suggested their relationship was experiencing issues.

THEWILL had earlier reported how Chioma removed photos of Davido from her Instagram page.

The incident, which happened a month ago, occurred about the same time when rumours went round concerning the affair between the “OBO” crooner and Mya Yafai, an American model.

On Friday, Chioma celebrated her 26th birthday at a dinner night that brought her loved ones and the Adeleke family.

While delivering a speech at the event, Clarks tasked the estranged lovers to remember they were friends before anything and he also urged Chioma to remember their son.

He said: “I just want to say something to you today. No matter what happened between you and my brother, just know that he really loves and appreciates you no matter what. And you need to understand something.

“You guys were friends before anything. You have a beautiful son together. No matter what you’re doing, put your son first. I pray the Lord keeps you in good health and grants your heart desires.

“I love you so much and I’ll always be there, no matter whatever happens. Happy birthday, Chioma, from the whole Adeleke family.”
