We’ll Embark On Peace Walk With You – LASU Students Tell Sanwo-Olu

December 02, (THEWILL) – Lagos State University (LASU) students have expressed support for the Peace Walk proposed by the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

President of the Student Union Government (SUG), Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, made this known when the governor visited the school on Thursday.

Sanwo-Olu who inaugurated a new Students’ Arcade at the school was welcomed by the SUG President, Speaker of the Students Union Representatives, Rt. Hon. Mustapha Adejuwon, and hundreds of students.

The students who commended Sanwo-Olu’s giant strides in the state, especially in the education sector, said they would embark on the walk with the governor for peace and prosperity of the state.

According to the President of the Student Union Government, LASU, Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, the students are willing to walk with the Governor.

Badmus disclosed this when the governor visited the school on Thursday for the commissioning of a new students’ arcade at the school.

Governor Sanwo-Olu had on Tuesday invited Nigerian entertainers including Seun Kuti, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni and others to join in the peace walk with the aim of healing the land.

The Walk of Peace, the Governor, said will “herald the healing of the land”,

However, some celebrities like Falz, Mr Macaroni, Rinu Oduala and other activists have openly declined the invitation, although Segun Awosanya popularly known as Segalink, supported the governor’s decision.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu and Commander of Rapid Response Squad, CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, will also embark on the walk.
