The Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, while addressing a press conference, jointly organised by the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, the NYSC and the EFCC on the event at the EFCC headquarters, Abuja, noted that the event was part of the sensitization mandate of the Commission and urged Nigerians across the country to come out en mass to participate and demonstrate their ownership of the anti-graft fight.

In disclosing why the youth would drive the event, Magu noted that the youth needed to be awakened and mobilised against the cankerworm of corruption, knowing that the future belongs to them, and also constitute the bulk of the country’s population.

Magu further reiterated that public enlightenment and sensitization on corruption was needful in exposing and tackling the scourge, stating that the anti-corruption fight should involve everyone.

Shauibu Ibrahim expressed his delight in the corps’ partnership with the EFCC in the fight against corruption, noting also that the fight should involve all Nigerians. He stated that the nationwide anti-corruption walk which is the first of its kind, will be a recurring event.
