August 08, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, met with the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
She was accompanied to the villa by Dr Ali Pate, a ministerial nominee confirmed on Monday, by the Senate.
Okonjo-Iweala and President Tinubu had met in June when they both attended the leadership summit held in Paris, France.
Although details of the meeting are sketchy as at press time, THEWILL reports that Okonjo-Iweala and Pate had served as Ministers under Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
While Okonjo-Iweala was Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Pate was Minister of State for Health.
