September 14, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, in Abuja, met with the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.
The meeting, held at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja, also had in attendance security chiefs in the country.
At the meeting, President Tinubu received a report and blueprint from Committee members of the national conference on livestock reforms and mitigation of associated conflicts in Nigeria.
THEWILL reports that the immediate-past Governor of Kano State, Ganduje, had, in January, inaugurated a high-powered committee to organise a national conference to look into all the issues surrounding the plan to ease conflicts associated with and the need for reforms in the livestock sector.
The 27-man conference committee headed by the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, was to proffer a lasting solution to the constant herder-farmer conflict across the country.
