BEVERLY HILLS, March 25, (THEWILL) – Ahead of his 69th birthday on Monday, former Governor of Lagos State and All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will chair this year’s Arewa House Lecture holding on Saturday in Kaduna.
Plateau State’s Governor Simon Bako Lalong, who is also the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, will deliver the lecture.
Being the 11th in the series of the annual lecture, the event will take place at the Arewa House Banquet Hall in Kaduna.
According to the organisers, the theme for this year is “Reduction of the Cost of Governance for Inclusive Growth and Youth Development in Northern Nigeria in a Post-COVID-19 era.”
The Arewa House Lecture Series is organised every year in honour of one of those regarded as the founders of modern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the late Sardauna of Sokoto.
He was in the First Republic the Premier of Northern Nigeria.
The platform has always provided the floor for prominent and distinguished Nigerians to address issues of national importance.
According to Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, a letter inviting Asiwaju Tinubu, by the Director of the Centre, Dr. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, said: “On behalf of the board and management of the Arewa House-Centre for Historical Documentation and Research, Ahmadu Bello University, Kaduna- we have the privilege and honour to invite Your Excellency to serve as Chairman at the Eleventh Arewa House Annual Memorial Lecture Series.”
