Diesel prices in the United States have crossed $6 per gallon for the first time, highlighting the growing inflationary impact of the global energy supply shock.

CORAN, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Eche Idoko, said the rising cost of diesel should concern Nigerians because the fuel is widely used by factories, farms, transport operators, telecommunications companies and other businesses.

The figures were contained in the midstream and downstream statistics for July 2026 released by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
