BEVERLY HILLS, January 29, (THEWILL) – The remaining 424 more Nigerians stranded in Saudi Arabia have arrived in Abuja on Friday.
This was confirmed by the Chairperson, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa..
“424 more Nigerians stranded in Saudi have arrived in Abuja. They will proceed on the mandatory 14 days quarantine. We appeal to Nigerians to desist from illegal migration”, she tweeted.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gabriel Aduda, had in a statement on Wednesday said, “the Returnees will be conveyed via two Saudi Arabian Airlines.”
On Thursday, the first batch of the returnees, 384 in number (300 Males, 83 Females and one Infant), were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
A video had gone viral on social media on the 22nd of January alleging that about 802 Nigerians were been detained by Saudi authorities over expired visas
