October 24, (THEWILL) – Marco Silva has signed a new three-year contract extension with Fulham, keeping him at the London club through the 2025/2026 season. The 46-year-old manager joined the Cottagers in 2021 and led them to promotion from the Championship in his first season.
Silva said he is pleased to extend his stay, calling it a sign that both parties want to continue working together. He acknowledged that sustaining Fulham in the Premier League is the main goal. The club currently sits 13th after a mixed start to the 2023/2024 campaign.
Fulham Chairman, Shahid Khan, praised the news, saying it would inspire the players and fans. He called Silva’s appointment in 2021 transformative and said they are aligned in their vision for the club’s future.
Silva has won nearly half his matches since taking over. Last season, Fulham made a strong start to their PL return but faded after March. In the summer they brought in Alex Iwobi from Everton. The contract renewal demonstrates the owners’ faith in Silva’s leadership.
Fulham next face Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, as they look to build momentum after Monday’s defeat to Spurs. Silva will aim to guide the club to a successful PL season.
