BEVERLY HILLS, February 08, (THEWILL) – Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed Ms. Adenike Oyetunde as Senior Special Assistant on Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs).
Oyetunde, an On-air personality (OAP) and gratitude coach, is an amputee and disability rights advocate.
Announcing her appointment in a series of tweets on Sunday, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Gboyega Akosile said, “Oyetunde’s appointment is in fulfilment of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s promise, on 30th December 2020, to appoint a Senior Special Assistant, during an interactive session and distribution of various support items to 364 physically-challenged persons at the State House in Marina.”
The State’s Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, said the appointment of Oyetunde stemmed from the confidence in her capabilities and demonstrated the administration’s commitment to respecting the rights and well-being of PLWDs.
Governor Sanwo-Olu charged Oyetunde to focus on improving service quality, adding that, his administration was fully committed to meeting the yearnings and aspirations of Lagosians.
