October 25, (THEWILL) – Afrobeat superstar, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has finally responded to illuminati claims and news over allegations of being a satanic worshipper.
In September, the Mavins signee was denied access to perform in Ethiopia over allegations of his popular pendant and necklace carrying a satanic insignia, which is a piece from his ‘Raves and Rose’ album cover.
The necklace depicted an image of a church burning upside down and inverted crosses, which the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church found disturbing, offensive and satanic, which prompted the cancellation.
Due to some released snippets on his upcoming RAVAGE EP on Friday, many have described it as super creative while some didn’t hold back in their criticisms. It was slammed as occultic with a smidge of satanic vibes. Many went ahead to note that the kind of growth the young singer has recently witnessed might just be associated with his affiliations to an underworld occultic group.
The singer finally responded to all claims on his Instagram story saying, “Day 1 Ravers help educate the new ravers that I’ve been on this bat shit for a long time. Y’all would have so much clarity if you easily Google where I’m from, what the key colours of my heritage are, what flies in the skies of Benin every evening etc.
“As I evolve, my execution will evolve unapologetically, pls know your artists, it’s why I do interviews.
“And that illuminati talk is trash. I work too hard to create art for you guys to give glory to some diabolical shit. Dead it now. Jesus is King.”
