BEVERLY HILLS, May 04, (THEWILL) – Veteran Nollywood actress, Regina Askia, has condemned the murder of Miss Iniobong Umoren, the lady raped and killed while job-seeking in Akwa Ibom.

THEWILL had reported the death of Umoren after police arrested the culprit, Uduak Frank Akpan, who lured her to his place under the guise that he wanted to offer her a job.

This development has sparked social media reactions as many Nigerians called for justice.

Joining the fray, the actress took to her Instagram post condemning the gruesome killing of the lady.

The beauty queen, who is also from Akwa Ibom, said it was about time the state take a drastic step to stem the tide of sexual violence-related deaths.

The 53-year-old film star also tasked the public to always talk against the scourge as she advocated a “name and shame” policy to deal with perpetrators of such acts.

“Rest in peace, beautiful! Akwa Ibom is trending for the wrong reasons. Three sexual violence deaths in as many months? We all must speak out against this. Name and shame perpetuators. #justiceforiniobong,” she wrote.
